A letter from The Country Club of Sioux Falls
Dakota Tour Member,
On behalf of The Country Club of Sioux Falls and the First Dakota Pro-Am Jam Tournament Committee, I want to thank you in advance for making the stop in Sioux Falls. Each year our members look forward to this event, and that is in large part due to your participation.
Before you arrive at CCSF I want to let all of you know what we have planned for the week following your event. CCSF will be closing from August 14, 2017 – June 1, 2018 for a golf course renovation. The renovation includes: new range tees and practice chipping areas, new greens, new tee boxes, reshaped bunkers, lined ponds, and new grass on our fairways. Due to the tight renovation schedule we had to start preparing the course prior to this event. What you will notice when you arrive:
- The fairways will have been sprayed with an application of round up, so they will be brown in color, but still ok from a playability standpoint. We have continued to water, and our members have been using sand to fill the divots during regular play.
- A few trees have been removed, and the stumps for those trees have not been taken out yet. For the tournament we will play the ball as it lies through the green, so you will not be granted relief from those stumps. We will consider them a “short tree” for the event.
- The rest of the course will be in the condition you would come to expect from CCSF, and similar to what you have encountered in past years.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work to make our course the best it can be for years to come. We are excited about what lies ahead here at CCSF, and are confident you will enjoy the changes going forward.
